The Fifteen Minute Hamlet got such a great reaction from the audience. Sitting at the sound control booth I didn’t have a clear view of the stage and I guess that’s a good thing, or I may have screwed up all my sound cues!
I was a ball of nerves at first, but once Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead kicked off in Pentas 2, the adrenaline rush got to me. It was hilarious how the audience responded to the dialogues between Greg and Jit! I could see the audience’s heads turn from one end of the stage to the other, raptly paying attention and it looked so darn comical. I think our play was just that much more enjoyable for us actors because of the response we got from the audience. Totally psychedelic!
I got home yesterday and conked out on the spot, woke up at noon today and now I’m gonna recheck my sound cue list. I’m more worried about messing up my cues for 15 Minute than my blocking for R&G.
Note: Performances of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead/The Fifteen Minute Hamlet continue in Pentas 2, klpac till this Sunday. Tickets for Friday and Saturday nights selling fast. Get your tickets as soon as you can by calling: 03-4047 9000. See you this weekend.
