The Busy Bees of T4YP

Belinda Hon writes: Ok, not only have The T4YP Ensemble been busy as hell with rehearsals for our respective upcoming shows – What It Means To Be Free and I Loved You Once, I Love You Not, on top of that the T4YP Brainery has also kicked off!

For those of you who don’t know what the Brainery is all about, it’s basically extra “classes” on acting methods, directing and things to do with performing. They are not compulsory, but are highly recommended for those of us who have the time to spare. And here’s the fun part: past T4YP members are welcomed to join too!

The first Brainery session was last Thursday and boy was it traumatic. There’s another session tonight, and I am almost dreading that our emotional buttons will be pushed again. Well, on the bright side, Qahar promised to help me out vocally before class starts.

My throat has been dead hoarse the past week. One of the reasons it’s gotten progressively worse is probably because I haven’t learned the method to screaming without damaging my vocal chords. Thank God for Qahar, or by the time the IndiT4YPcine Season comes around, I’ll probably have no voice left at all!

PS: I just have to mention that I AM SO PSYCHED THAT THE DEVISING AND SCRIPT-WRITING PART FOR WHAT IT MEANS TO BE FREE IS OVER WITH! YOOHOO! Now we wait for our dear SM, Syatirah to transcribe all the rubbish she taped on video. Time to get to work on those masks then =)
