Theatre For Young People
The T4YP vision is to inspire and nurture imagination, confidence and creativity in young Malaysians through theatre.
Young people are the future of Malaysian Theatre. They hold in their hands the ability to create vibrant, thought-provoking theatre for all Malaysians.
Under the auspices of The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), the T4YP young people’s theatre programme provides a platform for young people between the ages of 16 to 25 the opportunity to express themselves by creating meaningful theatre.
We are driven by the idea that the arts can inspire creative, courageous and confident young people wherever they are and whatever they want to be. We believe that the arts have the power to transform lives and enrich our multi-ethnic and culturally diverse communities.
Essential to T4YP is the idea of building a close-knit community of young theatre practitioners who feel safe to explore and experiment within the boundaries of an established ensemble.
