Belinda Hon writes: SO. 2 down and 3 to go. Today’s going to be a long day because we’ve got a 3pm and an 830pm.

After our first show, we went backstage and Izmir said “Guys, we just did Hamlet. It’s just hitting me right now that we’ve been working our butts off to pull off this play which everyone knows is a killer feat.

We’ve had some stuff go a bit strange during some of our nights, but overall I’m happy. When I think about it, Hamlet is technically the last show that all of us will be involved in together. Not all of us will be doing the T4YP Lab because of other commitments.

I know we’re going to end our final show together with a bang, but I already know that I’m going to get really emotional. Its like the last time our complete cast will see Pentas 2. I’m not in the T4YP Lab so Hamlet is my final show for 2009.

I’m sooooooooooooooo going to miss everyone!

Lines, Lines, Lines

Belinda as Marcellus

Belinda Hon writes: Ok, I don’t really have much to complain about ’cause I’ve got it easy as Marcellus and frankly, I love memorizing lines. Some of the others though have huge numbers of pages to get right before “Books Down” this Saturday. We don’t have to be word perfect, but I’m sure each of us will try our best to get most of the lines right and on point.

Not used to keeping quiet during rehearsals (since we were blocking Act 4 and 5, for which I have no lines), I decided that I’d help Jit with his. Then I get this brillant idea to just memorize the whole darn section for him, since I hadn’t much to do at the time anyway. After that, I decided I’d memorize Izmir’s “To be or not to be” soliloquy. Call me psycho, but I’m planning on getting lines for that one down by tomorrow. I’m already done with the first third! =)
