First T4YP Lab project begun

mukabuku_vis

Season 2009 concludes with our very first T4YP Lab project, Mukabuku which features 6 short plays that focus on the easily left unseen impact that social networking websites are having on our everyday lives. The objective of the T4YP Lab is to train young directors, designers and writers in theatre-craft via the production of a double-bill of full-length plays or a programme of short plays.

Rehearsals for Mukabuku began last night under the direction of Kelvin Wong (Artistic Director of The Oral Stage) and the cast of 8 ensemble members. Mukabuku will star Nabihan Yaacob, Michael Tan and Nur Zakuan (from the 2009 T4YP Ensemble) with Alfred Loh, Gowri Paary, Ujval Sidhu-Brar, Farah Rani and Ivan Atienza (from the 2008 T4YP Ensemble).

Performances in Pentas 2 begin Friday, November 20, finishing Sunday, November 22. Look out for more on Mukabuku here soon.
